Newbie Guide To NPC Zones
Because I get so many questions about NPC area, class is now in session.
NPC 101
First thing to do is to check the requirements, you will need 1 transition crystal to travel to the NPC zone for 6 hours. You recieve 2 of them from completeing the newbie quests and you may also purchase them for 5 Sky Points each. To check/purchase a transistion crystal start by clicking "Check Item List" on your top right as seen below.

Next click on "Global" and scroll to the bottom where u will find how many transition crystals you have as well as the ability to purchase them. The figure below shows I have 0 transition crystals.

Once you have verified that you have a transistion crystal, you will need to form your army. You should already know how to do this so im not going to cover it. One of the most important things to know is the "3x Tonnage Rule", which basically means bring at least 3 times the amount of tonnage as the fleets your attacking(although some swear by 5 times). For example my first NPC zone was 13th Market, I brought in a fleet of 2700 tons. Also as a side note, I do not reccomend bringing a light airship(the one that comes with your hero) as they tend to only last a few fights.
Now that your fleet is formed it's time to have some fun! Start by clicking your fleet and click the "Tranist to the NPC Zone" button as seen below.

It will tell you that you are going to spend 1 transition crystal to get there. Next it will bring you to the map as seen below.

Now you get to make a decision on where you want to go. You can make your decision from the information on the first post. Zones labeled 1-2 are for level 1 and level 2 lords, 2-3 are for level 2 and level 3 lords, and so on. Keep in mind the 3x tonnage rule and then decide what resource you would like to collect. When your done deciding click on that zone for the map and your fleet will be instantly transfered there.
There are 3 types of npc zones, and they are as follows:
Safe: PVP(player vs player) will not occur, meaning if another player is there and you cross paths, nothing will happen. You still will be able to attack the Beast Armies.
Ordinary: Only players whose status is set to "In Battle" can enter, is if your set to "Nuetral" you may not go here. PVP can happen here.
Dangerous: When you alliance controls a dangerous zone(when it has your alliance icon above it), you may enter this zone when you are set to a "Nuetral" state. PVP can happen here.
Note: If you want to engage another player in PVP, you must delcare war on them.
Note: If you are close to level 3 and you go to a 1-2 zone and level up, all battles will halt and you will no longer be able to fight the NPC and collect reputation and gold.
Once transfered you will have to click your fleet on the top right of your screen(next to your castle icon) and it should bring you into the NPC zone. The zone will look similar to the picture below.

Notice how there is a bunch of small "islands" and then a big one in the center. The small ones are where the fleets are while the big one is where the boss resides. You can get thier corresponding sizes from the first post. Your fleet will always start at the bottom, so all you need to do is click your fleet and click "Head To" and click on one of those islands. You can also see the size of the fleet your going against before you move there by clicking on the hovering fleet and then clicking view.
Once your move is complete, your fleet will engage in combat and you will get a battle report showing how you did. It should look very similar to below.

Battle reports are very important as they tell you how many ships you lost, as well as your weariness. Weariness has a great affect on your army, if your army is tired they wont perform and you will loose more ships. Looking at this battle report I started with 0% and after the fight i have 10%. I personally try to stay below 10% at all times.
So you won your first battle, now what? Simple, once your fleet arrives at the island click your army again and click "Load", those are the resources you get to take with you(you brought cargo ships of course). Also, you want to check your weariness (see image below). Like I said, I keep mine below 10% if I hit 10% or more I wait until its back under 10%. I think it takes off 10% weariness every 15 minutes or so(can i get a confirmation?). I look back and forth between my castle and my fleet to force the page to reload the stats, once the weariness gets taken off, time to move to the next island.

Now its pretty much rinse and repeat for 6hrs. As for the boss, its up to you when you want to attack him IF you want to attack him. In some cases you fleet is fine for the normal fleets but not strong enough for a boss. I highly reccomend having cruisers for a boss as they have a good amount of emplacements that will decimate your attack planes and frigates. Some notes about the boss, there is always two fights you will encounter when attacking the boss, the boss itself, and a fleet. You also DO NOT need to destroy the surrounding fleets in order to attack the boss, you can head directly for the boss if you wanted to without even attacking any fleets.
After beating a boss you will have the option to occupy the zone and declare sovereignty. This will give that zone your alliance icon above it and will allow any nuetral players to enter the zone. For most alliances, this is just bragging rights. To accomplish this, click on your fleet once its arrived on the boss island and you will notice a new "Sword" icon as seen below. After its clicked you alliance will recieve mail saying you occupied the zone. Your alliance icon should appear after some time.
If at any point you would like to leave the zone(like when the time is up) you can accomplish this by clicking on your fleet(when its stationary, not moving) and then click the button that you clicked to enter the zone, except it will be labled as "Transit Return". The zone timer is on the top left of your screen.

Transition Crystals
So alot of people ask how to get thier hands on these. The easiest way is to purchase them with SkyPoints/GiftPoints(5SP=1 crystal), you can get SkyPoints by purchasing them from IGG. There is also a few ways you can aquire Transistion Crystals without using real money. First, you get 2 from doing the newbie quests right off the bat. Second, there is a small chance(like .2%) that your will get one from the beast armies hovering around your small town; there is a higher chance from them dropping off the armies in the npc zone. Third, the blueprint market. You have a chance at getting blueprints from your free treasure boxes, you can then sell these on the blueprint market for Gift Points(basically the same as SkyPoints except you can't buy blueprints with them). Fourth, you can do surveys and random ad stuff at GetPaid, which is my personal favorite. GetPaid requires alot of patience. And last, the easiest, is the SkyMarket. Basically the amount of time you play the game gets converted into a currency which u can then trade in for blueprints or transition crystals.
